J-WEL members: Submit your session proposal for the upcoming Migration Summit

Published on August 18, 2023

This April, the MIT Refugee Action Hub (ReACT), Na’amal, and Paper Airplanes will host the Migration Summit a month-long summit exploring this year’s theme “Education and Workforce Development in Displacement” through virtual and in-person events hosted by participating partners around the world. MIT J-WEL community members are invited to submit proposals and ideas for sessions.

Submissions can be, but are not limited to, the format of a design workshop, panel discussion, virtual exhibit, storytelling, and other creative expressions that lend greater insight into the lived experiences of refugee and displaced learning communities and broker new action-oriented collaborations in the space of refugee and displaced learner education. This brief provides more information.

Submit an idea for the Call for Submissions due February 10, 2022, and the Migration Summit team will follow up with submissions to further refine and co-construct these proposed events and engagements with you.  The organizers would love to have the J-WEL community involved as thought partners and participants in this ecosystem-building event series around refugee, migrant and displaced education.
